Tiffane McGhee was born on September 7, 1988, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the fourth of seven daughters born to Gregory and Sheryl Burns. Her parents were both pastors, and Tiffane was raised in a deeply spiritual household. From a young age, Tiffane was exposed to the power of worship and the divine through her parents' ministry.

Tiffane's mother, Prophetess Sheryl Burns, recognized her daughter's gift for music and began to train her from a very early age. Tiffane began singing in church when she was just two years old, and by the age of nine, she was singing on the adult praise team. At the age of sixteen, she took over as the worship leader of her church, a position she still holds today.
